He weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 20.5 in long. He wasn't too happy to come into the world, but we knew his lungs were working becuase he cried as soon as he came out and the whole time they were cleaning him. He was anxious to see what he had been missing. He came out wide eyed looking around and taking everything in.

The Birth Story:
We headed up to my parents cabin Monday, August 2nd with my entire family since they were all in town. I had been feeling a little off that day, but nothing too unusual. We were cleaning up, getting ready to take off and I was putting my niece in her carseat and I hear a pop and then a sudden urge to go to the bathroom. I stood up to rush to the bathroom thinking it was odd that I had to go because I had literally just gone. When I stood up to go a rush of fluid came out and I thought, "Did I really just pee my pants? No, I just went and pretty sure I don't have that much pee." I looked at Spencer and said I think my water just broke. I walked in the kitchen where all my sisters and mom were and one look and my sister said, "We're having a baby!" Of course I started crying. Before we left the cabin, Spencer gave me a sweet and tender Priesthood blessing, which I will always remember! The ride down the canyon was intense and not much was said. I think both Spencer and I were in shock!

My water broke at 10:30pm.

We went straight to American Fork Hospital. Me being the procrastinator that I am, I didn't have a hospital bag packed or anything, but my sweet sister, Lisa went to my house and brought me everything I needed.

When I got settled they checked me and I was only dilated to a 1. They said they would wait 2 hours and start me on pitocin. I got my epidural and they started me on pitocin shortly after. I was able to sleep for 4 hours during the night, which wasn't a very restful sleep. They came and checked me at 7:00am and I was only at a 3. When they came back at 10:00am to check me again I was dilated to a 10. I pushed a few times for the nurses and they called the doc in. I seriously only pushed for 20 minutes and he was here. It was a crazy experience, but I couldn't have asked for a better labor and delivery.

He was born at 10:35am.

There are still days that I can't believe that I am a mom. But I can't complain because he is such a good baby. He sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time during the night and he is a pretty good napper during the day.

I can't leave out the cute motorcycle pictures that we took! We found a really cute black motorcycle shirt and since Spencer is huge into motorcycles we had to get a picture of him on the one. We love Teagan so much and we are so grateful to have his sweet spirit in our home!

Special Delivery!

So something special is arriving in the mail shortly. It was the last big vacation before the baby comes and it was also to celebrate our 2nd anniversary, which was on May 3.

We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer, but I think that is how all vacations are. It was so fun to go with Mike and Paige. Paige is also pregnant and is due about three weeks before I am. Paige and I had a great time laying on the beach, talking about being pregnant and becoming parents.

Most of the time that we were there consisted of laying on the beach up at North Shore, eating great food, and swimming in the ocean.

We definitely got our sugar intake. We had a two man kayak and kayaked about 30 minutes in the wide open ocean. It was a lot of fun. To be honest, I did most of the paddling, my slacker of a husband made his pregnant wife do all the work....nah, he did most of the work and let me take little breaks when I needed to! Once there, we had Subway sandwiches that we brought with us and Mike and Spencer hiked around the island.

We ate at a place called the Shore Bird. It is such a fun atmosphere and great food. It is right on the beach and you get to grill your own meat. Spencer and I have been there before with my family and it was just as good the second time around.

Blogging about this trip makes me wish I was back in Hawaii! It was very different than last year because there was snow, 2008 we were cutting down a tree without coats. It is being built right now and we are hoping that it will be completed here in the next few weeks.

The biggest news of all is....I am PREGNANT! I am 19 weeks. I am due August 11th. It still feels very surreal, but we are super excited and can't wait to meet this little baby. Well actually I can wait, I still need time to prepare! Disclaimer: you will never see growing belly shots of me while I am pregnant...sorry!

Well that is it for us for now. Don't worry there are a lot of pictures. Pictures are the best anyway!

On Labor day (I know it's been awhile) we met the Burgin's (our really good friends) in Vegas. We wanted to do a last vacation before they headed to live in Cali. We are going to miss them a lot. But don't worry we are already planning a vacation to see them. We had such a good time in Vegas. We had good food, good shopping and Paige and I got a massage while the boys played golf.

We went to the Tournament of the Kings while down there. The cave was pretty big and it was actually hot and very humid in the cave. They are very intense and serious about protecting the cave. You can't take any bags inside the cave and you have to walk through misters so you don't leave lint or hair inside the cave. We went with some of our friends that are down here and it was just a really good time.

This is the whole crew that went: Doug, Jen, Spencer, Me and Lucas, and in the front is Kate

After the caverns we went to a steak place to eat. I felt a little out of place with my chucks and shorts because everyone was in their western getup...including spurs and hats.

Like always the clouds here are amazing. We get a call one night after dinner from Lucas telling us to go outside and check out this sweet cloud. Below are some of the most recent things that I have encountered.

1. Just looking at these boots makes me giddy... cause I am the owner of them. I have never owned a pair of tall boots. Call me crazy or out of fashion, either one I have my reasons. I look at the price tag of boots that I love and I just can't pull myself to buy them. I think, "For the price of one pair of boots I could buy 2-3 pairs of shoes...that is gratification 3 times over." I finally gave in because I had a gift card to Nordstrom and it eased the pain just a little. I just can't wait to wear them. I would wear them today, but I think I might get funny looks cause it is 100 degrees outside. Just an FYI, I am pretty sure that this picture does not give these boots justice..they are just plain hot in person!

2. So this cartoon basically sums up how I feel when my toenails are painted..and let me be honest, my toenails are always painted. So I am a little OCD about my toenails. If they are chipping or too long I have to get out my manicure set and repaint them. This is not a pain, but I actually find it very therapeutic to give myself a pedicure. Don't get me wrong I love getting a good pedicure, but they don't always last long because of my OCD.

3. I can't tell you how excited I get to get my hair done. I have had hundreds of haircuts, but it never gets monotonous. This last time I was prepared when I went in. I had been to the book store and bought a $6.00 hair magazine (don't judge me) and marked all the ones that I liked. I am all about changing my hair. I get tired of the same old boring thing, so I always ask for something new. I was in Utah last week and I got my haircut it had been a few months and it was driving me crazy. My hairdresser talked me into going dark purple. It's pretty punk rocker and different, so I love it.

4. Down here in Arizona I have some spare time on my hands so I get to indulge in reading. I have always loved reading, but it is the one thing that gets pushed to the back when I am really busy. Right now I am reading Kite Runner it is an excellent book. I am averaging about a book a week down here, it's pretty awesome. I just love to go into a different state of mind and be like a kid again and imagine what the places and people are like that I am reading about. It is definitely a simple pleasure.

The Grand Canyon State

Well it's been another few weeks down here in the Grand Canyon State. Spencer is keeping busy with his Army training. He just had his first big test for the first part of the course and he passed which is awesome! We have been having fun with some of the friends he has met and enjoying each other. We have some mountains around so we all went up and had a camp fire and roasted marshmallows which was delightful.

There was a motorcycle show in Tucson and of course we had to go. It was a good time, it is always fun to get out of Sierra Vista. It was two weeks ago and Spencer cannot stop talking about it. He really was like a little kid in a candy shop. I found a bike that I thought was cool/cute. Spencer has wanted to buy me a bike for a really long time. Now that I found one that I like he is researching and begging to buy me one. I sure love my husband. Check out my sweet ride below. (maybe in about 10 years)
Below are a few of the other bikes that were at the show.

The nights here are amazing I love the skies at night. Spencer and I had 6 months planned before he left to do Army training, but everything seem to change after about a month after he left. It is a long story so I will make it brief. The place where I was working full-time needed to downsize at the end of June and unfortunately I was part of the downsize. So I lost my job and I really didn't know what I was going to do with myself. I really thought I might go crazy without a full time job. So that pretty much sucked.

Spencer came home for the 4th of July and we were talking about different options that I had. We came to the conclusion that I was going to move with him to Sierra Vista, Arizona for three months while he finished up his Army training. I felt really good about this decision. I was stressing about what I would do with myself down there since I didn't feel like I could get a decent job since I was only going to be there for only three months. I would like to say that I know the Lord hears and answers prayers. I was praying about if this was the right move and what I should do. Well the company that had let me go needed part-time help with the marketing side and asked me to come back part-time. I told them I was moving to AZ and they said that I could work remotely. I was so glad that everything worked out.

We have been down here for about two weeks. It definitely has been a change. I went from hanging out with my sister and her two girls all day to hanging out with myself most of the day. The first question every one asks is, "Is it sooo hot?" No, not hot at all. Sierra Vista is about the same altitude as Utah. Right now they are in the monsoon season so it is a bit rainy. Sierra Vista is about 30 minutes from the Mexican border so we are very far south. It has been fun to be with Spencer and have weekends to go to the surrounding cities and visit. I haven't been the best at taking pictures, but I have a few. Every night the sunset is beautiful and there are pretty awesome lightning storms.

Hopefully I will be better at blogging our adventures down here. Last weekend we went to Bisbee, which is a hippy town and we headed to Tucson to do some shopping since Sierra Vista has a pretty crappy mall. Even though I had my camera I didn't take any picture, but there is always this weekend!

The Good Life...

Life has been a little crazy with us lately, but I thought I should post a few pictures from our vacation to Cancun that happened back in May. It was so perfect! We celebrated our one year anniversary. We stayed at the Moon Palace all inclusive resort. We will for sure go back it was beautiful and all I could have hoped for. I think we had about 5 virgin pina coladas the first day...needless to say it was awesome.

We hit up the ruins at Tulum.

To be honest I wish I was there right now. Now that everything has calmed down for now, I guess I will post some pictures. The next few posts might be out of order, but they all happened in May. This post is about the quick weekend trip up to Idaho Falls, over to Yellowstone then on to Jackson Hole.

We headed up to Idaho Falls for my brother Dave and his wife Britten's sealing in the Idaho Falls Temple. The sealing was beautiful and it was a beautiful day. I could have posted at least 10 pictures of everyone outside the temple, but I decided to keep it to just one. All of the nieces and nephews joined us outside the temple and they were just so cute plus the temple grounds were in full bloom.

Spencer and I in front of the Idaho Falls Temple

Us in front of the falls in Idaho which were pretty spectacular

We then headed to Yellowstone. I have never been to Yellowstone so it was pretty great. There was tons of wildlife and it was so pretty up there.

The Buffalo were literally right outside our car.

Of course we saw Old Faithful erupt which was great too.

This little cutie, Audrey, is my brother Steve and Kristen's little girl. We took her in our car for most of Yellowstone she was so cute. I think she missed her twin brother a little bit, but she loved having all of the attention. I have to admit having her in our car made Spencer want a little one of our own.

We didn't take any pictures in Jackson Hole. I guess there is something in the air that makes us not want to take pictures because we spent our honeymoon in Jackson Hole and we didn't take any then either.

It was a fun trip. We got to hang out with family and have a weekend off from the daily grind. It was especially fun to have Steve, Kristen and the twins out here from Chicago. I sure do wish they lived closer they have such cute kids and we don't mind their parents either.

~Moved On~

A couple of weekends ago Spencer and I moved out of our apartment. I have to admit I am sad to have moved out. I don't so much miss the cinder block walls, the AstroTurf carpet, and the many different smells that accumulated in our apartment during dinner time. But I do miss the people. It takes me a little while to get out of my comfort zone and start to talk to people and make friends, so right when I was getting warmed up to people we have to pick up and move. I have to say we lived by some great people. Our ward was great, our first Sunday there we were greeted by ward members that made us feel welcome...gosh I sure do miss the ward.

So now we live with my parents. We are so fortunate to be able to stay there and save money, we are grateful to my parents for letting us be "live-ins" for a little while. I will be living there for the next 6 months, while Spencer is doing more Army training (June-November) in Georgia and Arizona. I know November will be here before I know it, but right now it seems like forever away.

I should mention that this past Sunday, May 3, Spencer and I have been married one whole year. We didn't really celebrate much since we are going to Cancun at the end of May to celebrate. We just cuddled and watched Twilight.

Can't believe it has been a year. It feels like just yesterday that I was planning and graduating and stressing out. It really has been such an awesome year of course there were hard times, there will always be hard times, but there were also great times, spiritual times, and just plain fun times. I look forward to the next year. I know this year will bring many changes which I look forward to.

(Wish I had pictures of our wedding to post, but that CD got packed away and I am not going to dig through all of our stuff for it.)

VOTE FOR US! #1098

So I got this email a few days ago from our wedding photographer saying that he entered one our wedding photos into a contest. I can't believe Matt is 19 it just seems like yesterday that he was getting baptized. He headed to the MTC on March 11 and heads to Catania, Italy on May 11. He is such an awesome kid and has always been a great example to me. It was hard for me to see him go. For heck sake he is my little brother. But I know he will be great he has such a strong testimony and such a great spirit.

We got his first letter and first email from the MTC it sounds like he is doing great and learning so much. I did get news today that he sprained his ankle pretty bad so he gets to go see my brother to get some xrays...hope it heals fast! I just freakin love this kid so much. I guess we will see him two years!

Chaotic Chirstmas...But a Whole lot of Fun!

I guess it's about time to do an update on Christmas. Christmas was a lot of fun this year, everyone was in town and it was a crazy party on Christmas. It was a big sleep over! I didn't get a lot of pictures, but you can see what my parents living room looked like the morning of! I loved seeing the look on all of my nieces and nephews faces. It's tradition that when everyone wakes up everyone has to wait at the top of the stairs before you can go down and open your presents. My little niece Emma loved that Santa wrote her a note to thank her for the cookies and reindeer food! To be a kid again wouldn't that be great!

Spencer and I had a smaller Christmas since we went to New York a few weeks before. I did get a new phone/blue tooth head set, and luggage. Spencer was really excited about all of the clothes that I got him...what can I say that's what happens when you start a job that you have to dress up for. I did get him Lego Star Wars which was fun to throw in a toy. Spencer really is a kid at heart. The Lego Star Wars is already put together and he is wanting a another one (maybe for Valentines day).

Saks Fifth Ave, Macy's, Wicked, and the Rockettes

Last week Spencer and I went to New York. For the first part of the week I was out there on business and he was in Utah doing finals. Then he came and met me mid way through the week. We had such a good time it was just what we needed New York at Christmas. It was a bit cold and one day it just poured rain, but it was so fun to be there and shop and hang out with my sister, Minde, and her family. We did some shopping, saw The Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music hall, saw the Rockefeller Center tree, ate some Soul food (fried chicken and waffles for bfast) and even won tickets for the play Wicked, which made the trip. New York is beautiful at Christmas I love all the lights and decorations and truly the hustle and bustle of the holidays and of New York every day living.

I should mention that today is the anniversary of when Spencer and I got engaged it has been one whole year since that moment happen. OH Chirstmas Tree

So my friend Sarah had a great idea...this year we would go with our husbands to cut down our own Christmas trees together. Spencer had to wake up early the day after Thanksgiving and go purchase our permit to cut down a tree. Well what I didn't realize is that we were going to have to drive three hours away to cut down a tree that we would have up in our house for only three weeks, but anywho. We took the long journey a couple of weeks ago up by the Idaho-Utah border to find the perfect Christmas tree. We had such a great time! Once we found the place where we could cut a tree down (we got a little lost) we hiked up and down the mountains and found two perfect Christmas trees. This is our tree that we found. It was one of the first ones we saw, but we had to make sure it was the one. We finally came back to it an hour later since we couldn't find one better.

When we first talked about doing this during the first part of November we thought there would be snow up there by the beginning of December. We were actually kind of excited to snowshoe in and pack it out. There was no snow (thank goodness) and it was quite warm, hence why we aren't wearing coats.

Jason just had to bring an ax up just for a picture..he does look very mountain men like

Here is Sarah and Jason carrying their tree out.

Thanks Sarah for the fun idea we loved hanging out with you guys!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ssrandle.blogspot.com/2008/12/timber-oh-chirstmas-tree.html' title='TIMBER! There are two things in this life that can cure all life's disappointments, stresses, tiredness, bad days, long days, and even just plain fed up with life days....you name it and these two things can cure it or at least make it better. I always start thinking about my costume in September, I know I am kind of weird, but it ends up that I can never find anything that I love. It would be easier if I felt like I could afford the $50 costumes that you can purchase online, but I can never justify buying them because I am only going to wear it once. So I always end up pulling something together that is cheap. This year I was Bat Women and thanks to my friend Paige, Spencer was Turk from our favorite TV show Scrubs. This year we had a party over at Paige's house it turned out great, lots of good food (which is most important), got to hang out with friends, and we even hooked up the Wii and played a little guitar hero. Costumes were a must for our party, and everyone showed up with some awesome costumes. I didn't get a lot of pictures, but Paige got some good ones so for more pictures of our Halloween party go here.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268572219419088482" style="DISPLAY: block; There are definitely friends that come and go, but I have been fortunate enough to have two great friends that have stuck with with me for many years. I have been reminiscing on some great times that I have had with them.

I have been friends with Sarah Peterson Morse for 9 years (gosh how time flies). You can only imagine what sort of trouble we have gotten into, what fun we have shared, and what inside jokes have been told. In life there are those ups and downs that we all go threw. I have been fortunate enough to have Sarah go through a lot of my life changing events with me. Even though we are all grown up, married and don't live as close to each other as we once did, a phone call from her always makes my day and she can always make me laugh. Just the other day we got together and did dinner, with our crazy schedules we don't get to see each other much. We started talking about life and things that seemed at first so big and bad turned out to be a laughing matter at the end of the conversations. From my first break-up to marriage I am so happy to have her there to listen to me!

We took our first road trip together. Anytime we are in a new place we are bond to get lost.

This is the story of our lives! We definitely believe that the world is our stage and all we need to make it work is each other.

Go Green Phalanges :)

My other friend Candice Conner is great, we have been friends for about 6 years (it all started in high school cheer). She is one of those friends that even if we don't see each other forever when we get together we are still the best of friends. The adventures that I have had with her have been well....awesome. She has helped me through some of my hardest times, we have shed tears and many laughs together. We are kind of Vegas buddies. She told me the other day that she went down with this other girl and I couldn't believe it! ;) It has been me, her and Vegas for a few years now. Relationships do change when you get married, but I am so happy that I still have two great friends to have a girls night out with. Love you both!

She took me to the Rascal Flatts Concert. We had such a blast! The first island was Oahu for a couple of days. There we hung out at the beach, went to a luau, and visited Pearl Harbor. For the next five days we headed over to Kauai. This island was so beautiful and everything I would have thought Hawaii would be. We jumped off water falls, swung off rope swings, went snorkeling a couple of times, kayaked up a river and then hiked to a huge water fall. The best part was hanging out with my husband and the family. Here are just a few pictures of our trip!

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5239244018866342802" style="DISPLAY: block; With summer comes all of my great loves, Lake Powell, 4th of July, and my birthday.

My whole family (except Minde, Ty and Chase which we missed very much) went to Lake Powell at the end of June. Lake Powell for me is the perfect vacation. We had a houseboat, two ski boats, and 4 wave runners down there. It was such a blast! It was Spencer's first time down and a transformation happened in him he wants a boat! He can't stop talking about buying a boat. This is a big step since on one of our first dates he told me he wanted to drain Lake Powell (he was a bit hippish back then, thank goodness I straightened him out). Spencer wakeboarded, kneeboarded and he even got up on a single ski, impressive! I did everything above except I don't wakeboard I wakeskate! My family even hiked Rainbow Bridge, we haven't done this for years so it was good to make sure that it was still standing! Here are some of our pictures from our awesome time down there! On the right you have Spencer and I at Rainbow Bridge and on the left is Spencer skiing! The bottom picture is all of us girls skiing. We have a tradition that we get all the sisters and my mom out there to get up. We have done it with 5 girls but the last couple of years it has just been 4. It only took us three pulls to get it us all up!

The 4th of July is always a good time and it is all about traditions with my family. We go to the Provo Freedom parade in the morning and then to my parents house for a bbq and a homemade slip-n-slide. My family went to the Stadium of Fire and Spencer and I headed up to the Kaysville to chill with his family and to have a bbq and watch the Kaysville fireworks, who doesn't love fireworks. I just love the 4th of July.

The next weekend was my birthday and Spencer and I celebrated by going to Zions and hiking the narrows and going to one of the Shakespeare plays in Cedar City, The Taming of the Shrew. The play was really well done and pretty funny and we always love hiking the narrows it is so beautiful down there. I was a little nervous about flash floods, but I made sure that I could get to high ground if one did happen to come :). It was such a good time to get away with just Spencer it was just what we needed!

Well in about a week we are headed to Hawaii with my family. I am so excited neither of us have been there so it should be tons of fun. After that trip I believe our summer is winding down.

Spencer's First Triathlon

On Saturday Spencer and my little brother Matt did their first sprint triathlon in Provo. Both finished and that is all that I cared about and really that is all they cared about too, since there wasn't much training that went on for this. First it started out with the swim in Utah Lake. They swam a half mile and then it was off to the transition area to get ready for the bike. The bike was two loops along Provo roads, which equaled about 12 miles. After the bike they change into their running get up and ran about 3 miles. Both of them did great and they were feeling pretty good about themselves afterwards. Now both Spencer and Matt have the triathlon bug and are looking for more they can do. Triathlons aren't cheap though, most of the ones they were looking at yesterday were about $100 each. Obviously not a cheap sport to get in to.

My dad and I were the perfect spectators and tried to take as many pictures as we could. Seeing all those people out there having a good time kind of gave me the tri bug as well, but we'll see about that!

One month down...eternity to go!

So Spencer and I had our one month anniversary yesterday. Crazy how time flies. I almost forgot it was our one month, but quickly remembered in the middle of the day and sent a text to Spencer. Spencer doesn't have the best memory (he tells me often that he does remember the important stuff), so I just assumed that he forgot. Any way I got home from work around 5:30 and on our table was one rose, for one month, and 4 beautiful gerber daisies and a sweet card. He said that he had been thinking about our month anniversary for a whole week. Needless to say I was totally impressed. We went out to chili's to celebrate and then we took back wedding gifts, which was a blast. All this store credit we are getting is going to last us a nice long time.

I can't believe that it has been a month it feels like just yesterday that we were getting everything ready for the wedding. We had three major events that happened in our lives all in three days. Who needs to spread life changing events over a period of time...not us. On May 1st we had the opportunity to go through the temple and receive our endowments, it was an amazing experience. Then on the May 2nd Spencer and I walked for graduation, huge accomplishment for both of us. On May 3rd we got married in the Timpanogas Temple at 8:00am, it was the perfect day!

Everything went as planned for our wedding there were no major hiccups. We were all really nervous about the weather, but when it came down to it it was beautiful! As I look back on it I cannot believe it has come and gone. All of those events were so surreal, they were things that I have been working my whole life to do and they all happened in three days. For our honeymoon we headed to Jackson Hole. It was just what we needed. We relaxed, had massages, took a drive, and did a lot of relaxing. It was great!

Married life is awesome. Our little apartment is coming together very nicely. I have started to work full time which is a bummer, but it has to be done and Spencer started summer school. After an exhausting first part of the month we are back to normal every day life.

All of the recent events have made Spencer and I very grateful for not only our families, but our friends. We have been blessed with great people in our lives that have done so much for us and these things wouldn't have happened without them.

Marriage Is just a few days away!

Well as many of you know Spencer and I get married in about 10 days (May 3). Right now we are both trying to finish our semester at the U and get all ready to graduate and get married. Planning a wedding has been very stressful, but it has also been fun at times. As I think back I don't think I really had all the much time to think about what was going on. I am trying to juggle two jobs, finish school and plan a wedding, which got pretty crazy at times. Thank goodness for my mom and my sisters or nothing would have got planned for the day!

Spencer is staying busy as well with REI, the Army and school. Somehow he always finds time to play, which is one of the reasons I love him so much! The cool thing is we get to walk during graduation together, but he still has the summer semester and then he will start his masters of communication in the fall. Through all of the craziness we found a place to live. We are living at married student housing at the U. It is small, but with both of our fashion sense we have made it pretty cute. Spencer and I can't wait to get married it seems like it has been forever in the works and it is finally here. That is about it for now! The next time I blog will probably be when I am Stephanie Randle (wow if that's not crazy then I don't know what is!)

Hello World

On our new adventure through life Spencer and I decided to create a blog together.
